BloodRunCold aka Chris May has played the decks for 7 years. His “broad” musical tastes and generally poor judgement have cleared dancefloors in Europe, the States, and more commonly his native habitat of Glasgow.

Growing up to an acid house and Detroit techno soundtrack from his single digit years, he was supplied with mixtapes by friends’ older brothers. Hip hop became part of his sonic diet in ‘93, and it was around this time he developed an intolerable bossiness when it came to selecting the music at his friends’ houses. This was the bad seed that would grow into a Dj nightmare when he bought his first set of decks in 1999 aged 18.

Inexplicably, people started asking him to play out around town and he quickly had a few gigs under his belt. Memorable early gigs include terrifying a Wednesday night Archaos crowd with ghetto-tech; a selection so ill-advised it actually saw him violently ejected from the club via a long and painful set of back stairs, loosing a £100 pair of headphones in the process. Not content with just leaving it before anyone else got hurt, he soon realised club promotion was the way to really irritate alot of ears at once.

His first night, in the unsurprisingly now demolished Rico’s bar in Miami Beach went down quicker and uglier than a $5 whore. Returning to these arctic shores he started XXX to a slightly warmer reception, thanks no doubt to his business partner’s talent and hard work.

These days BloodRunCold can be found at the decks dropping cigarette ash all over bassline breaks and dubstep records for Tongue ‘N’ Groove at events and radio shows. He often uses his digits for digital sound manipulation; his trusty, faithful and ever-reliable Final Scratch by his side.

On a slightly more worrying note, he has recently started collaborating with Dangamouse on up to six decks, an aural atrocity that can only end in tears for all involved.
